After fulfilling the requirements for the conferment of the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Law and Humanistic Studies in 2003, she subsequently obtained a Diploma in Notarial Studies in 2004. In 2006 she graduated as Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from the University of Malta after submitting a thesis entitled ‘The Child’s Best Interests In Selecting the Perfect Candidate to Adopt or Foster’. In furtherance of her studies, particularly in Family Law, in 2008, she obtained a Diploma in Canonical Marriage Cases, Jurisprudence and Procedure by the Maltese Episcopal Conference and in 2010 she became the first Maltese practising lawyer to have been successfully awarded a Masters in Law (LL.M) specialising in Family Law from the University of London.
